Xuanwu Lake’s PICAPICA restaurant, with the renowned domestic design company DOMANI leading the project, underwent two years of design discussions and construction. Upon completion, it unsurprisingly emerged as the most eye-catching and popular leisure Western restaurant along the Xuanwu Lake shore. Quickly becoming the top choice for socializing and dating among the trendy men and women in Nanjing.
風景名勝區域的建築改造與商業激活是一項敏感議題，它不僅需遵循嚴格的規劃審批流程，保持建築風貌與自然景觀的和諧統一，還麵臨諸多的曆史遺留問題與關係。在此前提下，設計策略需要一、最大程度提煉表現建築空間與環境的綜合優勢；二、令其自洽於現代商業運營邏輯與新生代消費者審美傾向；三、在可控建造預算與運營預算的範圍內完成建設。
Renovating buildings and activating commercial spaces in scenic areas is a delicate matter that involves strict adherence to planning regulations to preserve architectural aesthetics and blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings, all while navigating historical legacy concerns. To address these challenges, design strategies should prioritize integrating architectural spaces with environmental advantages, aligning project spaces with modern commercial operations and the tastes of contemporary consumers, and ensuring project completion within defined construction budgets.
∇ 原始場地
該項目的原始建築是一棟15年前的湖畔框架式簡易建築物。在此次對其進行商業性激活的設計過程中，DOMANI的設計首先進行了複雜而不著痕跡的主體結構加固設計。通過對主體結構的全麵加固，梳理並強化了建築結構的本質關係，並將室內功能與結構關係進行完整嵌套。
During the commercial revitalization design of this project, the original building, a basic frame structure built 15 years ago, underwent a crucial initial phase of intricate yet discreet structural reinforcement. This step clarified and bolstered the fundamental relationships within the building’s structure, facilitating the seamless integration of interior functions within these strengthened structural frameworks.
在這種提煉+強化的結構性空間當中，空間設計的痕跡是低調消隱的。反之，與外界湖景的視野聯係被極端放大。在外觀上形成了與周邊環境相處得當的建築姿態，同時在室內則將消費者視線的權重拋向戶外遠景。這一設計策略，無疑使建築空間在尊重曆史與自然環境的同時，亦呈現一種“自我感”較強的空間狀態。
This transformation design approach emphasizes refining the building structure and improving spatial relationships, subtly concealing interior design traces to create a seamless connection between indoor sensory experiences and the lakeside surroundings. The project strives to blend the architectural form with the environment, directing consumers’ attention towards distant outdoor vistas. This strategy not only integrates the project with nature but also fosters a sense of autonomy within the space.
